WHAT IS BOTOX ?
Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a toxic toxin with purified protein content, derived from the Clostridium Botulinum bacteria found in nature in the laboratory environment. However, there is no harm in giving it to people in extremely small concentrations. It is used for both aesthetic and surgical purposes.
When people want to convey their emotions, a chemical called Acetylcholine is released by the nerves. This chemical attaches to receptors on facial muscle cells. Receptors stimulated by acetylcholine cause muscle contraction and facial expressions. Botox blocks the nerve endings by preventing the release of acetylcholine by the nerves, weakens the muscles, inhibits impulses and contraction. Since it is a muscle relaxant with a long-lasting effect, it helps to reduce wrinkles and lines on the skin surface, and to prevent / delay new wrinkles and lines. The application area is mobile wrinkles and lines. Static wrinkles and lines are treated with filling. Botox and filling application can be used together in aesthetic interventions.
Botox can be applied to all healthy individuals between the ages of 18-65, between adulthood and old age, except pregnant and lactating women. Usually the effect lasts for 4 to 6 months. The lifespan of the Botox application can be extended to some extent by repeating the Botox application, by protecting from the sun or using moisturizing creams.
Facial Botox is the injection of botox under the skin to intervene in the mimic muscles in the area where the moving lines and wrinkles are in order to eliminate the shallow lines and wrinkles that occur in the face area over time and to prevent possible wrinkles. Botox applied to mimic muscles weakens the muscles and prevents the skin from folding and wrinkling due to muscle movements. With facial botox; tired, unhappy and angry facial expressions change; have a rejuvenated, vigorous and wrinkle-free facial expression.
