THREAD FACE LIFT
IN TURKEY

Since the thread face lift is non-surgical, it is used by many people. With this method, people can get rid of wrinkles and sagging on their faces and neck areas. During facelift work, the sagging areas are made to look smoother and people feel better.

WHAT IS THREAD FACE LIFT?

Thread face lift is a tissue suspension process with specially developed threads to prevent sagging that may occur on the face over time and due to the effect of gravity or to treat the sagging that occurs. The threads used for this process can be permanent or temporary (meltable). They cling to the tissue thanks to a herringbone or cone-shaped gear system on them. They are placed under the skin and used for the treatment of sagging anywhere on the face and neck. Permanent suspension ropes show long-term (more than 2 years) effectiveness. Fusible form threads can last between 6 months and 2 years, depending on the material from which they are made. The sagging on the cheeks and chin, deep folds on the rim, the appearance of mane on the neck and sagging can easily disappear thanks to the rope suspension.

The application is performed with local anesthesia in an average of 30 minutes and the patient can immediately notice the result. This procedure is also called “lunchtime facelift” abroad. The reason for this is that since the procedure takes a very short time, non-surgical facelift can be completed even during the lunch break. However, although the procedure may seem simple, maximum sterilization conditions are required, as in surgical conditions, in order to prevent possible infections.

HOW IS A THREAD FACE LIFT APPLIED?

First, local anesthesia is performed. The local anesthesia to be performed is applied to the cleaned skin with cream. Thread-face-lifts, which have an anesthetic effect, prevent the person from feeling any pain. After these procedures, very fine-tipped needles or cannulas are placed in the area where the stretching process will be performed, which is determined by the doctor in advance.

Polydioxanone is a type of surgical thread. This rope is placed in such a way that the lower part of the skin is diagonal to each other. Thanks to the diagonal placement, it ensures that the rope is held more tightly to the tissues. The skin is stretched as desired according to the stretching rate determined after the thread placement process.

The body approaches the threads used in thread facelift application in a positive way. Thanks to the threads, the production of collagen, which is important for the skin, is triggered. In this way, the skin makes itself stronger.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THREAD FACE LIFT ?

The traditional facelift method, which is a surgical procedure, may carry some risks. In addition, the possibility of moving away from the natural appearance distracts people who are sensitive about this subject from surgical procedures. At this point, the advantages of non-surgical facelift emerge. Since it is not a surgical procedure, minimal pain is experienced and complications that may develop due to anesthesia do not occur. It does not pose any problem for people living under the time limit, because normal life can be resumed after the procedure. The effect is seen immediately. It is a reversible and correctable process.

AFTER PROCEDURE

The person who applied the thread face lift method can return to his social life immediately after the application. In general, the method takes between 35 and 40 minutes. After the application, mild swelling and bruises can be seen on the face of the person. In such a case, no action is required. These mild bruises and swellings will go away on their own in a short time.

Itching may also occur on the skin for two to three days after the application. Itching is mild. In this case, it disappears automatically. Keeping your head upright after the application prevents swelling and bruises from being seen.

The person should avoid scratching, rubbing, and sleeping on his face for at least 20 days.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

In Which Areas Can A Thread Lift Be Applied?

Thread stretching techniques were initially used for skin sagging on the jaw line or on the edge of the nose, but with the new threads developed in recent years, the technique can be used for many different purposes such as volume increase on the face and neck, skin tightening, jowl tightening, eyebrow lifting and shaping, and nose lifting.

Is There a Risk of Thread Face Lift?

The threads used are produced from materials that have been used in surgeries for many years, are compatible with the skin, are non-allergenic, and whose reliability has been proven.

Although small bruises or swellings may be seen from place to place depending on the procedure, these heal completely within 3-4 days. Corrective actions can be easily applied if an asymmetry is noticed after the early tissue edema has passed.

What are the differences between the threads?

There are many different types of threads in use today, some of which are non-melting (permanent), some partially melt over time, and some dissolve completely over time. Although permanent threads have the advantage of a slightly longer duration of action, they have the disadvantage of becoming visible over time, especially on thin skin. Melting threads, on the other hand, contribute to the tension of the skin by stimulating collagen production in the tissues in the application area, although they have a shorter duration of action.

Another difference between the threads is the application technique. Some threads are placed freely in the application area without being fixed anywhere in the skin, and they perform a skin tightening function in the application area by means of double-sided nails or cones on them. The placement of the threads in this group is extremely easy and the application can be easily performed under local anesthesia in a very short time.

Although the lifting effect and the permanence of the result obtained are higher than the free ropes, these applications may not be preferred by some patients, since the fastening process requires a surgical intervention, albeit a small one.

Is pain felt during the procedure?

Pain perceptions of those who receive the treatment differ from each other in all procedures, not only for non-surgical facelifts. Local anesthesia during the procedure can minimize pain and aches.

What should be considered after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, swelling, edema, itching and redness may occur. These symptoms disappear on their own after a few days. Dental treatment, facial massage and excessive sports are not recommended for a few weeks following the treatment. It is also important to lie on your back for a while to avoid any complications.

Is Thread Face Lift Safe?

If you have a facelift done by an experienced and reliable doctor, it is a very reliable procedure. Small bruises can be seen after this procedure, known as the D lift face lift procedure. Apart from this, you will not encounter any other problems.

Threads used in face lift are very healthy products. Therefore, there is no harm to the patient. After researching in detail, you can choose your doctor and have a safe operation. However, before and after the surgery, it is also beneficial to follow the instructions determined by the doctor.

Who Should Not Be Applied?

It should not be applied to those with advanced cancer, diabetes patients, people with coagulation disorders, those with inflammation due to infection in their skin, those with severe autoimmune diseases, children and pregnant women. In addition, people with allergies or hypersensitivity to biological materials should share this information with their doctor and decide whether they are suitable candidates for treatment.
